Many people try to lose weight before going on holiday but, if you have left it to the last minute, then a short term detox diet for a few days will help to lose a few pounds in advance.
A detoxification diet is designed to promote maximum cleansing while still providing food energy. Ideally, use only organic produce.
This detox diet is very simple. You can eat the following foods:
Start the day with a glass of warm water with a slice of lemon which is very cleansing and stimulates the digestive juices.
Also, aim to consume 1-2 glasses of fresh fruit / vegetable juice per day (8-10oz) glasses.
Once you are on your holiday, try to maintain a degree of control but, if you do gain a little bit of weight, then repeat the detox for a few days afterwards and you should be back to your old self before you know it.
